The IAI Lighting Design Award is an honorary award for innovation and practical achievement in lighting design. It is awarded only to those works that are outstanding in design and provide outstanding technical solutions.

Judging Criteria
IAI Design Award always adheres to the judging principle of justice, transparency and independence, and insists on the professional height and authority of the jury to fully ensure the quality of judging and fair adjudication.
The organizing committee requires the jury members to make objective and fair decisions for the entries strictly referring to the judging criteria, evaluating and debating, to ensure the sharing of knowledge and experience. The members of the jury are experts in various professional fields, and the composition of the jury changes every year.

The IAI awards the「Lifetime Achievement Award 」every two years. The award is designed to commend professional designers, professors, experts and scholars over the age of 60 who have made outstanding contributions in industrial design (Age restriction can be relaxed for special conditions).This award is only nominated by juries and no acceptation of application.

The IAI Lighting Design Award participants are mainly required to submit graphic materials, or models as supplementary works, but participants need to arrange transportation and installation by themselves, and purchase by themselves if the insurance is required.

Second Round of Review: Review Display Fee

Participants who submit their works in the early and regular period will not be required to pay the second round of review display fees after their works have been selected for the first round of review. There is no one free one for the judging fee. IAI Design Award winners are obligated to purchase the "Winners basic service package". Winners of IAI Lighting Design Award should purchase this package at the same time. The service package includes the right to use the IAI Label, the works to be shown on the IAI Design Award Online Exhibition, and an IAI Design Yearbook.
