IAI Intelligent Manufacturing Design Award

IAI Intelligent Manufacturing Design Award aims to promote industrial innovation, energy conservation and environmental protection, to improve people's livelihood, and sustainable economic development. It contains the most categories among the three IAI sub-awards: IAI+I, IAI+A, IAI+IM. The award categories including industrial product design, visual communication and brand design, fashion design, digital intelligence design, a total of 83 categories.

IAI Intelligent Manufacturing Design Award is derived from the IAI industrial product design category set in 2011, including four categories: industrial product design, visual communication and brand design, fashion design and digital intelligence design. After several competitions, it is the fastest growing award among IAI Design Awards now and has become a product category competition with international influence and high gold content.

Winning the IAI Intelligent Manufacture Design Award is regarded as an important symbol of a successful career. It means that you can demonstrate your leadership in design and innovation effectively around the world, strengthen brand influence and enhance its value.

Judging Criteria

IAI Design Award always adheres to the judging principle of justice, transparency and independence, and insists on the professional height and authority of the jury to fully ensure the quality of judging and fair adjudication.

The organizing committee requires the jury members to make objective and fair decisions for the entries strictly referring to the judging criteria, evaluating and debating, to ensure the sharing of knowledge and experience. The members of the jury are experts in various professional fields, and the composition of the jury changes every year.

Award Setting

IAI Best Intelligent Manufacturing Award

Winning the IAI Best Intelligent Manufacturing Design Award, represents the highest level of award-winning intelligent manufacturing design. As the annual award of IAI's highest honor, the award is only awarded to the best works in the field of intelligent manufacturing space, the winning works will reflect the designer's core values and innovative capabilities. The award winners will be announced at the IAI Design Awards ceremony, and the winners will be invited to take the stage to receive the grand prize.

IAI Gold Award

The work with the highest design standards in each category will be awarded the 'IAI Gold Award'. The winners of this award will be invited to personally receive the grand prize at the IAI Design Award ceremony.

IAI Silver Award

In each category, the work next to the Gold Award will be awarded the 'IAI Silver Award'. The winners of this award will be invited to receive the grand prize in person at the IAI Design Award ceremony.

IAI Bronze Award

The works that are next only to the Silver Award in each category will be awarded the 'IAI Bronze Award'. The winners of this award will be invited to receive the grand prize at the IAI Design Award ceremony.

IAI Excellence Award

The works that are next only to the Bronze Award in each category will be awarded the 'IAI Excellence Award'. The winners of this award will be invited to participate in the IAI Design Award ceremony.

The Most Excellent Design Team of the Year

Each year, we will select one design team to be awarded "The Most Excellent Design Team of the Year", which aims to recognize the design team with outstanding achievements in innovation and design over the years. This award is only nominated by juries and no acceptation of application.

IAI Best Humanistic Care Award

The IAI awards the「Best Humanistic Care Award」annually. This award is aimed at those who have enough attention for the people's welfare, physical and psychological health, and achieve beneficial and effective design works, which can make people maintain a positive and sunny attitude toward life and feel happy, which compassionate the marginalized and vulnerable people and give them the same amount of material and spiritual enjoyment. The award is selected by a joint vote of the jury and no acceptation of application.

IAI Best Environment Friendly Award

The IAI awards the「Best Environment Friendly Award」annually. This award is aimed at those who have reasonable solutions in the life cycle of a range of products, including the use of resources, the manufacture of products, the use of space, and the recycling and reuse of materials, taking full account of the impact of space on the environment. Works that embody the concept of sustainable development and lifestyle with the lowest consumption for the best results. This award is only nominated by juries and no acceptation of application.

IAI Jury Special Award

The IAI awards the「Jury Special Award」annually. The IAI Jury Special Award is jointly voted by a panel of juries to recognize and encourage the uniqueness and creativity of the work. It represents the comprehensive ability and exceptional design expression of the winner. This award is only nominated by juries and no acceptation of application.

IAI Lifetime Achievement Award

The IAI awards the 「Lifetime Achievement Award 」 every two years. The award is designed to commend professional designers, professors, experts and scholars over the age of 60 who have made outstanding contributions in industrial design (Age restriction can be relaxed for special conditions). This award is only nominated by juries and no acceptation of application.

Entry Requirements

All products in the mass production stage are eligible for the competition, and only those have been on the market for less than two years are eligible for the competition. All works completed within three years and published in the "communication design" category are eligible.

According to the rules of IAI Intelligent Manufacturing Award, all works that pass the first round and enter the final evaluation must be sent to participate in the overall evaluation.

Failure to deliver works on time as required will be regarded as an automatic waiver of the qualification for final evaluation.

Works Return

Participants are responsible for their works return after the award ceremony，or delegate the IAI Design Award Organizing Committee to send it back. Participants are responsible for their own transfer fees, customs, etc. The works in China will be returned in freight collect.The works abroad will be returned by the participants themselves with related documents, such as express waybill, invoice, cargo loading and unloading list, etc.Please contact the express specialist to pick up the pieces at the designated place.

Award Ceremony

IAI holds the IAI International Design Festival and Award ceremony annually, to which all winners are invited.

Entry Fee

The registration fee varies based on the time period. The service includes logistics processing, related documents collecting, documents for evaluation preparing, works exhibiting, and winning works storing before the opening of the exhibition. Award Winning Service

IAI Design Award winners are obligated to purchase the "Winners basic service package". Winners of IAI Intelligent Manufacturing Award should purchase this package at the same time. The service package include the right to use the IAI Label, the works to be shown on the IAI Design Award Online Exhibition, and receiving the IAI Design Yearbook.
