Liuba County Cultural Center

The project is a comprehensive cultural facility integrating cultural centre, library and workers ' cultural centre. The county is surrounded by mountains, with an average narrow width of only 400 m and population of only about 10,000 people. The using land range is irregular, and the terrain is high in the west and low in the east.

The design relies on the condition of city and nature, breaking up the whole into parts, and combining different scales of blocks with different functions to form an organic whole that can operate independently and connect with each other.

The degree of relief provides more possibilities for the access relationship of each layer of space. The three-dimensional organization mode of the double first floors gives more publicity to the underground space.

The main body of the building is arranged along the southeast road, and the northwest side maintains a good scale relationship with the surrounding buildings. And the east side is surrounded by the initial cinema to form a new public place.

By using the relationship between the scattered bodies, a three-dimensional walking path can be set up, which can reach different roof platforms from the ground, echoing the local traditional ancient plank road culture and bringing people an immersive experience.

The simple building materials come from the local abandoned stone factory. The broken stone plate is processed into gravel, and the outer wall composed of Shanghai Plaster echoes the surrounding buildings.

Starting from the aspects of region, site, culture and function, we try to design a place of public culture and life, under the scale of a micro-city, in a manner tailored to local conditions. We wish it could promote the popularization and promotion of culture and art, shape the symbol of urban culture, and bring new vitality to the city and community.
