As a commercial space in shopping mall, displaying the brand and getting more commercial value is something that needs to be considered when designing the space. But MWC did in the opposite way, designing it away from the commercial, just keeping it pure. This is also the biggest challenge for this project.
STONE is a Cantonese restaurant with Japanese cuisine dining atmosphere，specialize in a new concept of Chinese cuisine. Taking stone as an inspiration, the designer applies the concept of stone to the space from the facade to the inner. So that, the imagery of stone is completely permeated in
the space. And The lighting let this stone be glisten. Except for the light strip throughs the space, the rest of the lights are focused on the dining table, used custom designed lanterns with hidden net, that can concentrate the illuminant on the table. Allowing people to enjoy the dramatic lighting and the aroma of food.
