With inspiration from Makizushi (also called rolled sushi), the space design of NIGIO Izakaya fully leverages the geometry — "cylinder" conceived from sushi pieces. The designers thought that every space should follow a certain geometric relationship and further externalized this idea in the space design. And the result is a simple spatial structure with clean lines as well as an impressive style brought by the means of symbolization, all of which are artfully tailored for the Izakaya.

Conceived based on the image of sushi piece, this space design has arranged 470 off-white stainless steel cylinders and 40 red stainless steel cylinders in the form of a matrix, creating an external facade on which the red brand name "NIGIO" shows a sharp contrast to the off-white background. This contrasting facade design functions as the first spatial perspective, greeting consumers with its striking visual effect while also visually deepening consumers' impression of the brand. As for the interior design, the cylinders have been deconstructed, reconstituted and then laid out into diverse shapes, which have been rounded off by 2-meter cylindrical lamps, making for a new Japanese-style Izakaya that is simple, chic and full of a youthful vibe.
