Inspired by armour of samurais, this yakitori restaurant adopts rattan meshes, wooden grilles, etc. to simulate layers of steel plates in armour, where red light strips run through the space with black as the main hue, suggesting that this project creates and guards a peaceful, quiet dining atmosphere like a samurai.

The hollowed-out walls and windows with 3D patterns carved give a layered sense to this simple space. The application of Shou-Sugi-Ban, imitation stone material and bamboo rattan helps to add a touch of softness. Besides, the warm lighting system is both practical and romantic, so that the project can be not only a restaurant, but also a place for intimacy and communication.
