Bama County is renowned in China for its two titles: the land of longevity and one of the “Top 10 destinations for leisure tourism” in Guangxi Province. The tobacco packaging is exactly inspired by Bama Ming River (“Ming” means life in English), which is locally regarded as the source of life. The river winds its way to shape the special styling just as a dragon hovers on the sky and cursive strokes sprinkle on paper. At the front of the packaging, the cursive script of “Bama” in their Chinese characters is combined with stunning scenery of Guangxi Province. Referring to the technique of Chinese paintings, designers integrate mountains, stones, clouds and trees into the font. At the back of the packaging, Bama Ming River is re-created on the packaging by the style of freehand brushwork, not only echoing the calligraphy at the front but also enriching the entire packaging with the mood of beauty.
