The aesthetic thoughts populated in Song Dynasty are full of color, with distinctive rheology characteristics, literal and cultural temperament, which make it the standard paradigm of Chinese aesthetics. The aesthetic from Song Dynasty is blended with Western Minimalism in MOON & YARD to show a classic mansion of South China.
"Harmony" is an important category of traditional Chinese philosophy. The design is based on the principle of "Harmony" to represent the value of harmony. The "harmony" between people and objects is subtly transformed into space, and reflects oriental charm of "simplifying complexity" on modern western ornaments. Paintings and theme spaces thereby established the connection between ancient and contemporary times as well as oriental and western world.
The overall space is bright and open, the layout is featured by oriental aesthetic of central symmetry and neat arrangement. But the relationship is open, and the concept of "flowing space, free plane" of Mies is skillfully integrated into the space to handle the mutual relations.
