Su Yi Kang Nursing Home

We are not only the designers of living spaces for the elderly, but also the conveyers of love! The old man is the sunset, and the sunset is also joyful!

Elderly care institutions are not a commodity, but a comprehensive life service supply system for the elderly. What needs to be addressed in the design of age-appropriate elderly care institutions is not only to create gorgeous spaces, but also to provide a complete operation and service environment for the elderly's clothing, food, housing, transportation, and health protection. Extracting natural elements that contribute to the ecological health and well-being of the elderly is put into the space design, weakening the psychological oppression brought by the environment of traditional health care institutions, and creating a sense of intimacy and belonging to high-quality home life scenes.

The target audience of this case is senior elders. The designer wants the space to have some cultural precipitation, combining Eastern connotation with modern Western popular design language, which is both stable and vigorous and vigorous. In the reading activity space with traditional Chinese herringbone tops, three or five friends of the elderly are enjoying it. At the same time, the large area of wood material also increases the spatial affinity. Using orange, blue, purple, green, and pink as the main colors of each floor not only facilitates the elderly to quickly distinguish their own floor positions, but also uses the function of color to heal people, and inadvertently intervene in color for the elderly physiotherapy.

The elderly may not be so agile in their actions, so the entire nursing home has adopted a "barrier-free design". This barrier-free environment not only facilitates the entry and exit of the elderly in wheelchairs, but also gives them more peace of mind. Conspicuous yellow protection rods are installed in the toilets and other places that are easy to slip and touch to make it safer for the elderly to take a bath in the toilet; the mirrors in the toilets are placed on an inclined surface, so as to allow the elderly in wheelchairs to take pictures. To the whole body; and a small notch is installed beside the handle of each chair to facilitate the elderly to lean on a cane. There are countless barrier-free environments like this, in order to let the elderly feel the designer's meticulous care. Enjoy your old age here!
