The famous architect of the Czech Republic, the master of Czech national treasures, is famous for her attention to detail and obvious modern style. Her famous steel glass staircase design has influenced countless designers. Eva has been honored as a visiting professor at many major European and American universities such as the University of Sheffield, the University of Nottingham, and the University of Nottingham, and has been awarded the Scholarship Selection Committee of the Royal Institute of British Architects. In 1993, she was awarded the Honorary Fellow of the Royal Academy of Arts and was awarded the Honorary Fellow of the American Institute of Architects in 2006. Also,she was awarded the Lifetime Architectural Contribution Award by the Czech Ministry of Culture in 2007, the Jane Drew Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013, and the British King George Medal in 2015 by the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade, Czech Architecture award of the Year in 2017.


In 2019, due to the unprecedented impact of COVID-19, the 12th IAI Design Award ceremony was held in Tianjin after a full delay of eight months. Considering Eva Jiricna's outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of design throughout her life, to express respect for the personality charm of a generation of design masters, Eva Jiricna was unanimously honored by the IAI Jury with the 2019-20 IAI Lifetime Achievement Award.
